Well I'm just a little bit behind, now aren't I? I've been obsessed with a certain blog lately and it reminded me of how much fun blogs are to keep. Aside fromnmy YouTube account, I want to start posting step-by-step picture tutorials on here for some of my makeup looks. I might just have to put one up tomorrow...after I go car shopping of course! :)

I also want to mention that I've been making Hair Extension Cases...been looking for one? I custom make them according to your order, so follow the link and submit your order! I've already custom make and shipped one!

After watching Britney's new video for Hold It Against Me, I got so inspired to do the makeup from the front cover of the album. Britney has such a gorgeous and flawless face, and I wanted to recreate the look she wore in the album photoshoot. Here are some pictures from that particular photoshoot.

Here's my tutorial for this makeup look, which I've actually been wearing for the past few days :)

Me (Lately) = Fake Nail Junkie

Recently, I've had this odd obsession with fake nails... you know, the kind you glue on. Does anyone reading this have that obsession too? Now, wearing these can really cause your nails damage. Before I show you the nails I've been wearing lately, and the ones that I will wear soon, I'm gonna share a few tips with those of you that love fake nails as much as I do.

1. As I said, after removing fake nails your nail beds will suck. Glue will more than likely be stuck on your nails, your nails may be cracked, or looked like they've been filed with a nail file on the top. Cuticle oil, hand oil, or olive oil can be rubbed onto the fingers to add moisture to the nails.
2. After applying oil, you can apply a strengthening nail polish. Almost every nail polish brand has one!
3. Taking nail vitamins (usually 'Hair, Skin, and Nail') can help promote strong nail growth. These vitamins contain tons of Biotin, which is great for natural nail and hair growth!
4. If you so choose, cover up you bare nails with any color of nail polish to disguise the brittle-looking nails. Who doesn't love a fresh coat of polish? :)

Okay, so first of all, here are my freshly painted toes! This is the color Jade is the New Black from OPI. (Sorry I have an enormously big toe! It runs in the family...)

These are the nails that I have on as I'm typing this. I've gotten so many compliments on them in the past two days I've been wearing them!

These are the last ones that I wore, if you couldn't tell by the half-empty box!

These are the other boxes that I have... I'm not sure which ones I'm gonna wear next... which ones do you like?

Prom Dress Shopping! :)

I found my dress! Within three hours of shopping on ONE day I found my dress! I got shoes and jewelry to match as well. I didn't think I'd get all of that in one day!
So I got to the mall around 3 and went to Dillard's immediately. I knew they'd have a great selection of prom dresses. I tried on a bunch of dresses, some long and some short, and I started falling in love with the long dresses. I thought that long dresses would swallow me whole since I'm only 5foot...so I totally decided against them before I started looking. My mom suggested that I try some anyway, just to see how they looked. I'm sooo glad I did! Here's the dress on me that I loved at Dillard's!
I absolutely loved this dress! I was definitely torn between this one and the one that I bought... They were both the same price, so that wasn't a deciding factor. It was just the colors and the styles. As you'll see, the styles are similar as far as the body piece and the bottom go. I loved that this dress was red...I've never worn a red dress and I thought it was beautiful! I loved the color against my skin tone.
So we had Dillard's hold this dress for me while I looked around the rest of the mall with my mom. A store called Cashe had some gorgeous dresses in the window, including the one that I bought. I figured that they'd be way more expensive than I could afford, but they were around the same price as the ones I tried on at Dillard's. Here's the one that I chose!

The color is a bit off in this picture because of the lighting in the room (it's the only room with a full length mirror in our house). But here is the dress on the website. This shows the true color of the dress

It's so freakin gorgeous!!!!!!
Of course...I have to hem mine... but I fell in love with this dress...Wanna know the deciding factor, after I went and tried both dresses on again? My nails! They were painted purple! I thought it was fate!

These are my shoes. I got them from a little store in the mall called Eve's. I normally don't like strappy shoes. But I figured, with the long dress, they would look better than closed toe or stiletto. My toes are even purple! :) SN: The necklace and earrings are from Icing. I know you can't see them too well in the photos, but I'll try and get a better picture on prom night.

So prom is on April 2nd. I'll definitely post pictures from the night when it comes! I'm so excited! Wish me luck!

Outfit of the Day: Movie Date :)

Sorry about the sucky lighting. I didn't want to turn on the flash, because it would wash out the picture through the mirror. But the green in my sisters room is nastyy.
Shirt and boots from American Eagle
Jeans are Bubblegum brand. Not sure where I bought them... They're about two years old and they were my first pair of skinny jeans. I'm sure it was some department store like JCPenney or Macy's :)

Christmas 2010!

I hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Years! I know this is a little late, but better late than never!

So I've been super busy lately with school and work. Being a junior in high school is a lot of work on its own, but working 6 hour shifts right after school just adds onto the stress. I always try to film on my days off of work when I get home from school, but sometimes I'm so tired! In my New Years Resolution video, I mentioned that I wanted to film more videos and put videos up more frequently. I'm trying, I promise! Sometimes, it's just hard for me to find time. But I promise I won't abandon you :)

So back to Christmas... I had such a great one! I love spending time with my family (I'm the last of 11 of my immediate brothers and sisters!) because it's rare that everyone is together at the same time. After a long day of spending time with my family, I went to Devyn's house to spend some time with him and his family. I gave him all of his presents (a pair of sleeping pants and a rocket from Hobby Lobby), and then his parents gave me their presents (a thermal carrier for my hair straightener, two pairs of toe socks cause I'm always cold at their house, and a huge makeup palette!). Finally, I got to see what Devyn got me!

You can't see it well in the picture, but he got me a diamond heart necklace and diamond earrings! :)

This was my reaction when I opened it:

Thanking my love for my gift :)

Me, terrified sitting in between two cuties with guns:

and finally, this is my little buddy, Peanut! :)
What'd you guys get for Christmas? :)

Review: LUSH's Dragon's Egg Bath Bomb

So I just got out of the shimmeriest bath ever. When I saw this bath bomb, I feel in love with the little confetti specks. It also felt really soft and I knew it would make my bath water extremely soft.  I never thought I'd see glitter! So here's how it went:

I actually cut Dragon's Egg in half... it seemed really big to me and I wanted to get as much use of it as possible. When I cut it open, I saw something that looked a caramel cube in the middle.  I didn't think much of it because all of the bath bombs have something cool in the middle.  I brought both parts over to the tub with me just in case I decided I wanted to put in both.  I got in and dropped the small half (without the little cube in the middle) into the water.  I watched as it started getting foamy and frothy, and I was kind of disappointed of the lack of surprise.  I dropped the other chunk in and that's when the fun started!  The water started turning a goldish-orangey color.  I was turning the bomb over in my hands just to watch it froth when I noticed that the cube in the middle was dissolving into gold shimmer!  I literally gasped and said "There's glitter!"  I lifted myself out of the water and saw how shimmery it make my skin.  I flipped.  I love glitter. Other than the shimmer, I absolutely loved the scent it filled the bathroom with.  It's infused with lemon and citrus oils that smell absolutely wonderful.  It reminds me of when me and my dad used to eat our favorite kind of sherbet together.  It was definitely one of the best baths I've ever taken. :)

Have you ever used Dragon's Egg? Or any other bath bomb? If so, which one and what was your reaction?
