New Years Eve Glittery Smokey Eye

This look is a mixture of a picture I saw on Pintrest and DulceCandy87's NYE look! I did this look a couple of nights ago when I was bored and decided to play with my makeup. This is what I came up with, so enjoy! :)

These are the products I used:
Too Faced Shadow Insurance
NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk
ULTA eyeshadow in Platinum
ULTA eyeshadow in Granite
Maybelline Line Stiletto Liquid Liner in Black
ULTA Amped Lashes in Black
DuoLash Adhesive in Clear-White
Claire's Cosmetics Body Glitter in Silver
NYC Smooth Skin Bronzing Face Powder in Sunny
NYX Blush in Pinched
Revlon ColorBurst Lipstick in Soft Nude
Victoria's Secret BeautyRush Lipgloss in Slice of Heaven

Start by priming your eyelids with Too Faced Shadow Insurance and blend it all the way up to the browbone.

Rub NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk all over the lid and blend out with a synthetic concealer brush.

With a flat eyeshadow brush, apply ULTA's Platinum eyeshadow on the inner 2/3 of the lid.

Add a piece of tape to the outer corner of the eye to make a sharp angle with the upper lash line.

With a crease brush, apply ULTA's eyeshadow in Granite to the outer V of the eye and into the crease.

On a fluffy blending brush, apply ULTA's eyeshadow in Platinum underneath the browbone. Also move the tape to create an angle with the bottom lash line.

With an angled eyeliner brush, apply ULTA's eyeshadow in Granite to line the lower lash line.

With a smudge brush, buff the line you just created to blend it out.

Using Maybelline's Line Stiletto Liquid Liner in Black, line your upper lash line.

Fill in the two angles that you created on the outer corner of the eye with ULTA's eyeshadow Platinum.

Curl lashes, add mascara and fake lashes if desired.

With a small flat synthetic concealer brush, pick up some clear-white DuoLash adhesive and pat it down over the silver.

Dip the same brush into a silver body glitter and pat it down on top of the adhesive.
And you're all done! I personally adore this look. I went out to get my nails done and do some shopping this morning after I filmed this tutorial and I got so many compliments! Here's some more close ups.

Once the video is finished uploading, I'll put it at the end of this post.

Navy Blue Smokey Eye

I filmed this tutorial about a week ago and uploaded it to my YouTube...but I figured I'd do a step-by-step picture tutorial on here as well, so I did this look today as well so I could take these pictures. And please, excuse my eyebrows...they are in major need of a wax.

These are the products I used:
Too Faced Shadow Insurance
NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Cottage Cheese
ULTA's eyeshadow in Platinum
Jasmine La Belle palette, navy blue and matte black eyeshadows
BH Cosmetics Standard Matte Palette, matte vanilla color
Maybelline Line Stiletto Liquid Eyeliner in Black
ULTA Amped Lash Mascara in Black

Prime your eyelid with an eyeshadow primer (Too Faced Shadow Insurance) to make sure that the colors stay on all day, don't fade, and don't smudge or crease.

Apply NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Cottage Cheese all over the lid and into the crease as a base to make the colors pop.

With a flat shadow brush, apply ULTA's Platinum (shown below) on the inner half of the lid.

Add a piece of tape to the outer corner, and follow the natural angle of your bottom lashline.

With a crease brush, apply a shimmery navy blue in and a little above the crease and in the outer v of the lid.

With a stiff tapered crease brush, pack a matte black in the crease to add depth and dimension.

With a fluffy blending brush, use a matte vanilla shade under your brow as a highlight.

With a black liquid liner (Maybelline Line Stiletto in Black), line the top lash line and wing out at the outer corner.

Add a generous coat of your favorite black mascara (ULTA Amped Lashes in Black) and some false lashes (if desired) and you're finished!

Me (Lately) = Fake Nail Junkie

Recently, I've had this odd obsession with fake nails... you know, the kind you glue on. Does anyone reading this have that obsession too? Now, wearing these can really cause your nails damage. Before I show you the nails I've been wearing lately, and the ones that I will wear soon, I'm gonna share a few tips with those of you that love fake nails as much as I do.

1. As I said, after removing fake nails your nail beds will suck. Glue will more than likely be stuck on your nails, your nails may be cracked, or looked like they've been filed with a nail file on the top. Cuticle oil, hand oil, or olive oil can be rubbed onto the fingers to add moisture to the nails.
2. After applying oil, you can apply a strengthening nail polish. Almost every nail polish brand has one!
3. Taking nail vitamins (usually 'Hair, Skin, and Nail') can help promote strong nail growth. These vitamins contain tons of Biotin, which is great for natural nail and hair growth!
4. If you so choose, cover up you bare nails with any color of nail polish to disguise the brittle-looking nails. Who doesn't love a fresh coat of polish? :)

Okay, so first of all, here are my freshly painted toes! This is the color Jade is the New Black from OPI. (Sorry I have an enormously big toe! It runs in the family...)

These are the nails that I have on as I'm typing this. I've gotten so many compliments on them in the past two days I've been wearing them!

These are the last ones that I wore, if you couldn't tell by the half-empty box!

These are the other boxes that I have... I'm not sure which ones I'm gonna wear next... which ones do you like?
